A four-story Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott hotel is slated for construction in the Indialantic ZIP code along State Road A1A. Target site: the vacant commercial property immediately south of The Jungle Organic Restaurant & Market, roughly 1/3 of a mile north of the entrance to Paradise Beach Park.
Certified General Contractors announced the hotel project Thursday on Facebook. The Melbourne firm stated it has been awarded the contract to build the 58,000-square-foot prototype hotel, which will house 90 guest suites.
The hotel site lies within beachside Melbourne city limits. A building permit for the project is under review at Melbourne City Hall.
Paradise A1A, LLC, a Cocoa Beach corporation, purchased the 1.7-acre parcel in November 2016 for $971,000, property records show.
Last month, Indialantic Mayor Dave Berkman announced that an undisclosed grocery store would be built at the south end of the Indialantic Center shopping plaza on State Road A1A, within town limits.
